Hello Falcons,
The sixth grade classes had been in residence at the Farm Lab all last week so our second lunch period was quiet with just the third graders. The quiet was nice on Monday, but by Thursday we were all missing them terribly. It turns out the 6th graders were creating and learning how to market salad dressings at the Farm Lab. I was fortunate to be a Judge at their "Salad Wars" contest Friday morning along with Principal Juarez and other District personnel. First of all, it was so nice to see all the 6th graders again. Secondly, the students, who were split into three different product groups, presented their dressings to the judges and absolutely nailed their assignments. All three groups had made quality products, listed their ingredients, devised mission statements, jingles, labels, and professionally marketed their finished product. The judge's scores were so close as we were all impressed by each group and their products. The three yummy dressings presented were: Spice Spice Baby, Lip Smacking Salads, and the eventual winner, Lady Lettuce. I was so proud of all the 6th grade students and their great work. It was really cool!
Have a great week, a wonderful break, and let's make 2022 a year to remember.
Keep Being Awesome Falcons.
