Thanks to our incredible Flora Vista community, we officially surpassed our $100,000 Falcon Fund goal, raising $100,918.81 with 72% participation! This was a HUGE community effort, and we are so grateful to every family, student, teacher, staff member and volunteer who helped get us across the finish line.

Falcon Fund takes a tremendous amount of behind-the-scenes work and manpower to make successful, and we would love even more community involvement in future years. Please remember that all drivers must come to a complete stop at every stop sign, even when a crossing guard is present at the intersection.

The Law & Safety: A stop sign always requires a full stop. Crossing guards are there to safely escort students across the street—not to replace traffic control signs.

Our Flora Vista 6th graders are raising money for their highly anticipated 6th-grade camp trip coming up this November! Every single purchase or donation directly helps lower the total cost of camp for all 6th-grade students.

We know we just asked for your support with the Falcon Fund and our monthly Restaurant Battles, which is why this fundraiser is intended for you to share with family, friends, and neighbors!

If you weren’t able to make it to the on-campus volunteer training sessions, don’t worry—you can easily finish the requirement online! Simply visit the Flora Vista Online Volunteer Training page to get up to speed.

Important Reminder: All volunteers must complete this training before helping out with any on-campus activities, including:

• Classroom parties and events

• Chaperoning or driving for field trips

• On-campus committee work and library help

Our PTA is powered by parents and caregivers who raise a hand and pitch in—and there’s a place for everyone, whether you have an hour to give or want to take on a bigger role. Check out our current open positions or simply volunteer when opportunities pop up throughout the year.

New this year: Every time you volunteer for a PTA event or initiative, your name will be entered into our monthly Volunteer Appreciation Drawing! Each month, we’ll celebrate our amazing volunteers and raffle off a little thank-you prize.
